FUNCTIONARIES

 HEADQUARTER LEVEL

           Union Territory of Lakshadweep being single line administration, the Administrator of Lakshadweep is the Head of the Department. Final approval on policy matters, Administrative approval, Expenditure Sanction etc are vested with the Administrator.

           The Administrator is assisted by the Secretary Agriculture who is the controlling authority of the Department.

           The Director of Agriculture is the Head of Office and Chief executive of the Department. He is responsible for Planning & implementation of all Departmental programmes. He is assisted by the Coconut Development Officer and Research Officer (Agricultural Census) at Directorate.
